Names do not explain value
Expedia's 2025 Traveler Value Index examined multiple traveler priorities. A multi-market study does not replace analysis of your own guest questions.
Standard and superior say little by themselves. Readers want to know about bed configuration, space for a cot, window orientation and stairs. Put the real differences at the center of the description.
Make comparison consistent
- Present important features in the same order.
- Use photographs of the correct room category.
- Separate conditional options from guaranteed equipment.
If only some rooms have balconies, do not describe a balcony as an unconditional feature of the entire category.
Check before booking
Ask reception to identify frequently misunderstood terms. Correcting them can make the description less ambiguous; any effect on bookings needs separate measurement. The goal is a choice guests can explain, rather than a category label they must interpret for themselves.
