An honest place image does not promise more than reality

Images help people imagine a visit, so their implied claims matter too.

Usefulness matters more than the production method

Google's AI-content guidance prioritises quality. This is content guidance, not evidence that a particular image type improves AI recommendations.

Our editorial rule: use verified, properly licensed photographs when representing an actual room, entrance or view in an offer. Generated images can illustrate a topic, but should not look like proof of a service that does not exist.

Three questions before publication

  • Is this genuinely the named place?
  • Are the depicted condition and service current?
  • Is an editorial illustration clearly identified?

Alt text should describe the image rather than repeat keywords. Keep provenance and usage rights traceable. Visual honesty is more than a style choice: it shapes expectations.
