A citation may not support the entire sentence

Research treats citation quality separately

ALCE evaluates citation correctness and completeness. The presence of a link is not the same as support for a claim.

Open the cited page and locate the specific evidence. A source may confirm an address while the answer adds prices or opening hours. Those details need separate checks.

Three possible findings

• The source directly supports the claim.
• It supports only part of the claim.
• Adequate support cannot be found there.

The last finding does not automatically prove the claim false. It means the cited evidence is insufficient. Distinguish this from a demonstrated error in your action list to avoid unnecessary content changes.
